Tips on finding the right fit:
  1. Poor-fitting foot ware can do damage to children's feel. Avoid a fit that is too big, unless the shoes will not be worn until the child's foot grows into them.
  2. Many people have one foot larger then the other. Fit in the larger foot.
  3. Be sure to fit the widest part of the foot to the widest part of the shoe. Watch the child walk in the shoes to be sure the shoe is bending with the natural bend of the foot and not against it.
  4. Barefoot can be best for children;s growing feet, however shoes protect the feel of beginning walkers from beat and cold, or sharp objects.
  5. All shoes will vary in size by style since they are built on different lasts - a last is the foot-shaped form that works like a mold for a shoe.
  6. When you receive your shoes, try them on in the afternoon, when feet tend to be their largest.
  7. Walk in shoes (Indoors on carpet surfaces) wearing the socks or stockings you would normally wear. Make sure the insteps don't gap, and there is room for your toes to wiggle a bit.
